WinStar sits just over the Red River in Thackerville, roughly an hour north of the Metroplex, and it is one of the most requested runs we do. It is also, honestly, one of the most fun.
Since 2023 it has had a serious concert room attached. Lucas Oil Live seats about 6,500 in an amphitheater style arena inside a 250,000 square foot facility, with a club level and its own lounge, so a night up there can be a show as easily as a gaming floor.
The point of WinStar casino transportation is simple. Leave the driving and the drop location entirely up to us, sit back with your friends or family, and enjoy the whole thing from the moment you get in.
What a WinStar night looks like
- Lucas Oil Live concerts. Around 6,500 seats, opened in late 2023, and it draws touring names that used to skip the region.
- The gaming floor, which is the largest of its kind anywhere, with thousands of electronic games and over a hundred table games.
- Group and celebration runs. Birthdays, reunions, corporate outings and bachelor and bachelorette parties.
- Hotel stays, since the resort has well over a thousand rooms if you want to make a weekend of it.
How the run works
It is about an hour from the north side of the Metroplex to the border, and that hour is the difference between a night out and a night of designated driving. In one vehicle the group stays together the entire way, coming and going.
We handle where to drop. You do not need to know which entrance is closest to the theater or the floor, because your chauffeur does, and he will put you at the right door.
He then stays onsite for the whole booked period and stays in contact. Live location sharing on WhatsApp or a pin drop means that whenever you are ready, at eleven or at two, you know exactly where to walk.

Drive times are estimates for normal conditions. Event traffic changes them, which is why we set the pickup time when we quote rather than leaving it to you to guess.
Round trip service up I 35 from Denton, Lewisville and Frisco
WinStar sits right on I 35 at the Red River, which makes it a straight run for most of the Metroplex and puts the northern and western suburbs closest of all. The great majority of what we do here is a round trip: collected at home, driven up, and brought back at the end of the night by the same chauffeur in the same vehicle.
Common collection points are Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Argyle, Carrollton, Frisco, Plano, Fort Worth and Dallas. Guests flying in for a show are collected at DFW or Love Field. If Durant suits your group better, we run the same trip to Choctaw in Durant, roughly an hour to the east.

Before you book
- Parking passes. Where the venue requires one we arrange it at booking. Bring your own if it came with your tickets, otherwise we buy it and it goes on the invoice.
- Priced hourly from start to finish. Day or night, the clock runs from the moment we collect you until we drop you home, and the vehicle and chauffeur stay with your group throughout.
- Dropping one day and collecting the next? A one way arrangement like that carries a 4 to 6 hour minimum, set by the vehicle you choose.
- A deposit holds every trip and is non refundable. Cancellation windows vary by vehicle and are listed on our pricing page.
- Book the big dates early. The larger vehicles go first, and on peak weekends they go weeks ahead.

What fits your group
Lucas Oil Live holds around six and a half thousand people, so WinStar pulls bigger groups than almost anything else we serve, and the vehicle list reflects that. The run up is long enough that what you are riding in genuinely matters.
- Limo bus. Twenty or thirty five passengers, and the one large parties ask for by name when the ride up is meant to be part of the night.
- Mini bus. Twenty to thirty six seats. The practical pick for a company outing or a group who simply want everyone travelling together.
- Motor coach. Up to fifty six seats for club charters and large company events.
- Limousine Sprinter. Thirteen seats, party layout inside, and a roof you can stand under.
- Stretch limousine. Ten seats, for a celebration where the arrival is meant to count.
- Sedan or Escalade. Couples and small groups who want the night kept simple.

How long is the drive from Dallas to WinStar?
From the north side of the Metroplex it is about an hour to the border. From Dallas proper allow an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half, and a little more from Fort Worth.
Is Lucas Oil Live at WinStar or at Choctaw?
Lucas Oil Live is at WinStar in Thackerville, seating about 6,500. Choctaw in Durant has its own room, the Grand Theater, which seats about 3,000. They are two different venues about an hour apart.
What kind of vehicle suits a casino run?
Sprinters and limo buses are the favorites, because the drive is long enough that the ride becomes part of the night. Sedans and Escalades work well for couples and small groups.
Can the chauffeur wait while we are inside?
Yes. He stays onsite for the whole booked block and stays in contact, sharing his live location so you can find the vehicle whenever you decide to call it a night.
Is there a minimum booking?
A standard round trip is billed hourly from your pickup until you are dropped home, so the length is simply whatever your night runs to. If instead you want dropping one day and collecting the next, that carries a 4 to 6 hour minimum depending on the vehicle.
Do you run to Choctaw as well?
Yes, regularly. Choctaw is in Durant, further east, and has its own theater.
How is a WinStar trip priced?
By the hour, from your pickup through to your drop back home. What it comes to depends on the vehicle and on how long the night runs, so a sedan and a motor coach sit a long way apart. Can you take a large group to Lucas Oil Live?
Yes. Limo buses at twenty or thirty five, mini buses to thirty six and motor coaches to fifty six all run to Thackerville. Big shows book the large vehicles out weeks ahead, so give us as much notice as you can.
Do you collect from Denton, Lewisville or Flower Mound?
Yes, and those are among the shortest runs to WinStar we do, since the resort is straight up I 35. We also collect in Highland Village, Argyle, Carrollton, Frisco, Plano, Fort Worth and Dallas.
