Rockwall sits on the far side of Lake Ray Hubbard, and every trip into Dallas crosses I-30 over the water. There is no alternate route worth taking. When that stretch backs up, and it does, there is nowhere to go around it, and a departure time guessed off a map turns into a missed flight.

That single fact governs how we plan a Rockwall job. Our chauffeurs check what the bridge is actually doing on the morning rather than trusting an estimate, and if we think a booking is cutting it fine we say so when you book. It is a more useful answer than a confident number that does not survive contact with a Tuesday morning.

Away from the crossing, Rockwall is quick. Love Field is roughly 30 to 35 minutes straight down I-30. DFW is 40 to 45 via the PGBT. Both are reasonable, both are worse at peak, and neither is a problem if you leave when we tell you to.

We are based in Frisco and our own vehicles and chauffeurs run out of the Dallas Fort Worth area. Rockwall is on the eastern edge of what we cover, which means we plan the day rather than promising a vehicle in fifteen minutes. For anything booked ahead it makes no difference at all.

The Harbor

Waterfront evenings and lakeside weddings

The Harbor is the reason people from Dallas and Garland drive out here on a Saturday. Waterfront restaurants, the amphitheatre, the summer concert nights and a hotel on site. It is also a compact site with limited parking that empties all at once when a show finishes.

• Downtown Rockwall Square: Dinner, the courthouse square and local events. Parking is limited, so we agree a pickup point a block off.
• Heath and the lakefront estates: Residential collection and standing airport arrangements. Long private drives and gated entries, so give us the gate code when you book.
• Chandler's Landing and the marinas: Boat days and group outings, usually hourly so the vehicle is there when you are done.
• The I-30 corridor offices and medical district: Corporate collection and client visits.
• Rockwall ISD events: Friday nights, homecoming, prom and graduation.
• Ranch and barn venues east of town: Weddings where guests are coming in from the metroplex and the roads back are dark.

Rockwall to Love Field and DFW

Love Field is roughly 30 to 35 minutes west straight down I-30 and is usually the better call from here. DFW averages 40 to 45 via I-30 and the President George Bush Turnpike. The difference between them is smaller than the difference between leaving at seven and leaving at eight.

• Flight tracking on every booking. We adjust to your actual landing time, not the schedule
• Complimentary wait time: 30 minutes on domestic arrivals, 45 on international, 15 on departures. A rideshare driver waits about five
• Curbside is standard. Meet and greet inside at baggage claim with a name sign is a $25 add on chosen at booking

• Departure times built around what the bridge is doing that morning, not an average

Rideshare coverage out here thins early in the morning and late at night, which is exactly when a 5 a.m. departure needs a vehicle that is definitely coming.

FBO arrivals from Rockwall

• Dallas Love Field (DAL): About 30 to 35 minutes west. Business Jet Center, Signature across multiple terminals, Atlantic Aviation and Jet Aviation. One of the busiest private jet fields in the country.
• Addison Airport (ADS): About 35 minutes northwest via the PGBT. Million Air Dallas, Atlantic Aviation and Galaxy FBO. Customs on site.
• Mesquite Metro (HQZ): About 15 minutes southwest, a small field but the closest option for regional business charter.
• McKinney National (TKI): About 40 minutes north. Worth it for the customs and the faster turns when the schedule allows.

How we handle an FBO arrival

• Tail number tracking where the aircraft is trackable. Where it is not, we confirm arrival directly with the FBO front desk
• Meet and greet is complimentary at FBOs, planeside where the operator allows vehicles on the ramp, otherwise inside the terminal
• Arrivals are billed hourly with a two hour minimum, because private schedules move. A ninety minute slip should not turn into a dispute over a point to point fare
• Departures are standard point to point unless wait time runs past 30 minutes, which converts the trip to hourly

For a group with luggage, driving to another Texas city is often faster door to door than flying, and frequently cheaper once you count four airfares, bag fees and a rental car at the other end. Rockwall sits on the eastern side, which shortens the Houston and Galveston runs slightly and lengthens Austin.

Quoted garage to garage including the empty legs, so the number you see is the number you pay. Larger vehicles are quoted on a mileage rate that moves with diesel, and overnight trips add the chauffeur's hotel and per diem.
