Celina has been one of the fastest growing cities in the country, and that produces two very practical transportation problems that nobody talks about on a limo website.

The first is that the streets are newer than the map data. Whole neighbourhoods go in between one navigation update and the next, and a driver relying on an app ends up at the end of a road that stops at a construction fence. Our chauffeurs confirm the actual approach with you before the day rather than discovering it at 5 a.m. with your flight in ninety minutes.

The second is that Celina has almost nowhere for guests to stay. Any wedding, party or family event here means people are coming in from hotels in Prosper, Frisco, McKinney or further, which turns every event into a transport problem before it is anything else.

Twenty minutes from base

We are in Frisco, south of Prosper. Celina is a short reposition rather than a long haul, which is why an early morning departure or a late night return here is a routine booking for us and an awkward one for an operator dispatching from Dallas.

Bringing guests in from three cities

A Celina wedding or party almost always means the same thing: a venue here, and a guest list distributed across hotels in Prosper, Frisco and McKinney. Sometimes Plano too. Left to themselves, guests arrive across a ninety minute window and a quarter of them get lost on the last two miles.

• Collection loops from every hotel on the block list, on a set schedule agreed in writing beforehand

Airport transfers

Celina to DFW and Love Field

DFW is roughly 50 minutes southwest and Love Field about 45, which makes these the longest suburban airport runs we do regularly. On a weekday morning both are worse, because the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road are already full by the time you reach them.

We will tell you the departure time we actually think you need, including telling you when a booking is too tight. It is a more useful answer than a confident number that loses you a flight.

• Flight tracking on every booking. We adjust to your actual landing time, not the schedule
• Complimentary wait time: 30 minutes on domestic arrivals, 45 on international, 15 on departures. A rideshare driver waits about five
• Curbside is standard. Meet and greet inside at baggage claim with a name sign is a $25 add on chosen at booking
• Airport transfers are always point to point. No hourly minimum, any day, any hour
• Early departures are routine. A 3.30 a.m. pickup out of Celina is a normal booking for us
• Standing accounts for regular flyers, with preferences on file and monthly billing

Rideshare coverage this far north thins out badly early in the morning and late at night. A confirmed vehicle is not a luxury on a 6 a.m. flight from Celina, it is the difference between making it and not.

• McKinney National (TKI): About 25 minutes east and the obvious choice. McKinney Air Center, US Customs available, faster turns than the Dallas fields.
• Denton Enterprise (DTO): About 30 minutes west, a practical option from this side.
• Addison Airport (ADS): About 40 minutes south. Million Air Dallas, Atlantic Aviation and Galaxy FBO.
• Dallas Love Field (DAL): About 45 minutes south. Multiple full service FBOs.

How we handle an FBO arrival

• Tail number tracking where the aircraft is trackable. Where it is not, we confirm arrival directly with the FBO front desk
• Meet and greet is complimentary at FBOs, planeside where the operator allows vehicles on the ramp, otherwise inside the terminal
• Arrivals are billed hourly with a two hour minimum, because private schedules move
• Departures are standard point to point unless wait time runs past 30 minutes, which converts the trip to hourly
• Unmarked sedans and SUVs, NDAs on request

• Downtown Celina Square: Dinner, events on the square and the summer concert nights. Parking is limited, so we agree a pickup point a block off.
• Old Celina Park: Community events and gatherings.
• Light Farms, Mustang Lakes and the newer developments: Residential collection and standing airport arrangements. Tell us the gate and the actual approach, because the map may not have it yet.
• Celina ISD events: Friday nights, homecoming, prom and graduation, where the whole town shows up and parking disappears.
• Venues north and east of town: Ranch and barn weddings where guests are coming in from other cities.

Event trips are booked as a block of time rather than a one way fare. Reserving the block keeps the same vehicle and chauffeur with you and guarantees a ride home at the hour you choose, which matters on roads that are dark and unfamiliar to your guests.

Prom, homecoming and graduation

• Proms and school events run a five to six hour minimum, because that is the length of the actual night
• The itinerary is agreed in writing beforehand, including every stop. The chauffeur does not deviate from it
• Multi house collection across Celina, Prosper and Frisco, so parents are not each driving a leg
• The vehicle and chauffeur stay with the group for the whole booking. Nobody is calling a rideshare at midnight this far out
• One parent can be the point of contact and know where the vehicle is
• Chauffeurs background checked and drug screened before their first trip, with driving records monitored on an ongoing basis
