A city that runs on the university calendar
University Park is small, residential and almost entirely shaped by SMU sitting in the middle of it. Which means the transportation year has a shape you can predict: move in weekend in August, home football Saturdays through the autumn, family weekend, recruitment, December lights, and then graduation in May when every hotel in the Park Cities is full of grandparents.
Those are the weekends that matter, and they are the weekends when vehicles run out. Not because demand is enormous, but because it all lands on the same six or seven dates.
Fifteen minutes to Love Field
One of the shortest airport runs in the metroplex, which changes what is possible. Later departures than we would recommend from the northern suburbs, and a delayed arrival is a short reposition rather than an hour across the city. DFW is roughly 30 to 35 minutes west when your flight requires it.
SMU
Game days, family weekends and graduation
The Boulevard is the thing out of town families do not expect. Tailgating runs down Bishop Boulevard through the middle of campus, the surrounding streets are closed or restricted, and parking within walking distance of Ford Stadium is effectively gone several hours before kickoff. Dropping a group at an agreed point and having the same vehicle waiting afterwards is worth more on a game Saturday than almost any other day of the year.

- Moody Coliseum: Basketball and campus events.
- Move in weekend: Airport collection for families arriving across several flights, plus the vehicle held while you unload.

- Graduation: The single hardest weekend of the year to book here. Extended families, multiple hotels, and a ceremony that does not wait.

Graduation weekend and home game Saturdays commit vehicles across the whole Dallas market. If you know the date, book it as soon as the university publishes the calendar rather than the month before.

Christmas lights tours in the Park Cities
The Highland Park and University Park lights bring traffic in from all over North Texas for about three weeks in December, which turns the residential streets into a slow moving queue every evening. It is genuinely worth seeing and genuinely miserable to drive.
We run it as an hourly booking with a route the chauffeur already knows, so the group looks out of the window instead of navigating, and nobody is hunting for parking on Beverly Drive. Sedans for a couple, Sprinters or a limo bus for extended families and neighbourhood groups.
December books early and the good evenings go first. The weekend before Christmas is usually gone by Thanksgiving.
Airport transfers
University Park to Love Field and DFW
Love Field is about fifteen minutes and is the obvious default. DFW is roughly 30 to 35 minutes west. We will tell you which one suits your flight rather than just quoting the field you name.

Private aviation
FBO arrivals near University Park
Love Field is one of the busiest private jet fields in the country and it is fifteen minutes away, which makes this one of the easiest parts of the metroplex to fly into privately.
- Dallas Love Field (DAL): About 15 minutes. Business Jet Center, Signature across multiple terminals, Atlantic Aviation and Jet Aviation.
- Addison Airport (ADS): About 20 minutes north. Million Air Dallas, Atlantic Aviation and Galaxy FBO. Customs on site.
- Dallas Executive (RBD): Southwest of downtown and a quieter option on that side of the city.
How we handle an FBO arrival
- Tail number tracking where the aircraft is trackable. Where it is not, we confirm arrival directly with the FBO front desk
- Meet and greet is complimentary at FBOs, planeside where the operator allows vehicles on the ramp, otherwise inside the terminal
- Arrivals are billed hourly with a two hour minimum, because private schedules move
- Departures are standard point to point unless wait time runs past 30 minutes, which converts the trip to hourly

Yes, at a point agreed before the day rather than at the gate, because the Boulevard closures put the actual drop somewhere the map will not show you. When should we book for SMU graduation?
